The totally parallel hydrodynamical theories of gravity and electromagnetism leave us to choose whether, (1)A positron is a sink in one aether, and a source in the other aether, or (2) Whether there is only one aether, and that like charges only repel when they are positive. The latter conclusion is the same as saying that gravity and negative electricity are one and the same thing. The rising action of a gyroscope will be attributed to the fact that the aether gets curled when a spinning gyroscope is subjected to an applied torque at right angles to the axis of spin. This again suggests that the gravitational aether and the electrostatic aether are the same thing. Two of these are the centrifugal force and the Coriolis force. These two should be more accurately referred to as convective components. They represent the effect of motion of a particle in the aether. The centrifugal force is strongly linked to kinetic energy and the ability of a particle to move against aether flow and escape from falling down a sink. The Coriolis force is concerned with the effect of the motion of a particle in a vortex. Neither of these two convective forces actually alter kinetic energy. It is the third of these three additional forces ∂A/∂t, where A is the aether field velocity, that should most accurately be described as a rotational force. Unlike the irrotational inverse square law component, this rotational component is not connected with any theory of conservation of energy. The irrotational component represents radial motion into a sink, or out of a source, and it is the basis of the law of conservation of mechanical energy. The rotational component represents the effect of aether vortex motion on a particle and it involves the transfer of energy. The rotational component must therefore be the main component involved in electromagnetic induction and in electromagnetic energy transfer. An electromagnetic wave must therefore constitute a propagation of rotations in a sea of vortices. Although the law of conservation of kinetic and potential energy does not apply to the rotational  ∂A/∂t force, Lenz's law still tells us that we will not be obtaining any perpetual motion.
