“New Energy: The Courage to Change”
Vancouver Coop Radio Special Fundraiser
Monday October 25, 2004 - Noon-2:30 PM PT
COOP RADIO – CFRO – 102.7 FM Vancouver, B.C.
LISTEN ONLINE TO COOP RADIO: http://www.coopradio.org/
HOST: Alfred Webre, JD, MEd
TOPIC: “New Energy: The Courage to Change”
This Coop Radio Fundraising Program, hosted by Alfred Webre, will
feature selected presenters from the Conference on New Energy
Alternatives in Portland, Oregon. Speakers will include Nick Cook,
Steven Greer, Brian O'Leary, and Tom Valone.
The speakers will address such questions as:
Is severe global climate change unstoppable?
Are escalating fuel prices inevitable?
Is environmental deterioration preventable?
Increasing numbers of environmental researchers believe that rapid
development of new energy technology is crucial to avoiding societal and
planetary catastrophe. Hard scientific evidence demonstrates that we can
have clean, inexpensive, decentralized and safe energy.
Recognizing that bold changes in public policy on a global scale are
necessary to address such planetary issues, several promising high and
low technology options for energy production will be explored.
This will be the first public conference devoted to the societal impacts
and policy issues on new energy and Co-op Radio's Monday Brownbagger
program will be among the first radio programs to bring you these
presentations.
