Electrolysis at 0.9 V
Date: Wednesday, March 31, 2004 @ 19:38:47 UTC Topic: Science
An Indian team has produced electrolysis at 0.9 V, compared to the normal minimum of 1.32 V. They achieved this by using divided cells with different electrode materials and electrolytes in the anode and cathode cells.
This looks like it has a lot of potential, though from their graphs it looks as if the volume produced at the low voltages may be fairly small. Is it too small to be practical?
