Mike Johnston writes: Mr. Mallove,
I appreciate the fact that you do try to promote alternative forms of energy. However I found your offhand comments on the coast to coast am radio show regarding hydrogen energy somewhat offensive. You said that hydrogen is not a viable energy source. This is ridiculous as hydrogen currently IS our primary power source. The fact that is is conveniently stored on carbon chains doesn't change the reality. What you were really saying is that you feel it to be impossible for science to develop a better way to store and utilize hydrogen. I guess man will never fly either then,eh?
You said this is true no matter what anyone is writing on the web. I take particular offense at that being that I probably write more about hydrogen fuel on the web than anyone else. I guess you know that though.
Then you go on to champion cold fusion as though that is more promising in the short term. Where is your working cold fusion reactor that produces USABLE amounts of excess energy? You don't have one. I on the other hand, CAN show you working hydrogen fuel devices. Yet cold fusion is just "it" to you and you see any more promising technology (such as H2 fuel) as a threat to your precious cold fusion.
Then you go on to cry about how the Academic Establishment refuses to even look at cold fusion while you yourself are doing exactly the same thing with hydrogen.
Finally, You are entitled to your personal beliefs, misconceptions and/or delusions but when you have a worldwide audience of potentially millions of listeners I think you should try to be just a bit more accurate.
