Sepp Hasslberger writes: Peak oil is repeatedly coming up in discussions as a scenario that is widely
accepted.
It seems that the "we are running out of oil" mantra is just so much hot
air vented by the friends of a very profitable industry that extracts and sells
oil.
While that scenario and the high price of oil is a welcome stimulus for the
development of alternative technologies, we should realize that it is not based
on fact. A recent scientific mission discovered evidence for the continuous
production of hydrocarbons in the earth's mantle that we should be aware of as a
group.
Discovery backs theory oil not 'fossil
fuel'
New evidence supports premise that Earth produces endless
supply
