Upon a quick patent search, it appears that the CEG has been awarded world patent (no. WO02095911).
It appears Mr Molina-Martinez means business, as to obtain such a patent a lot has to be invested. And one can but wonder why such an investment should have been done in vain. Practical joke? I do not think so.
