The Alternative Propulsion Engineering Conference
Posted on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 @ 01:46:50 UTC by vlad

Science The Alternative Propulsion Engineering Conference (APEC™), founded by Tim Ventura, is a free online community event for warp-drives, gravity-modification & UAP physics featuring hundreds of top physicists, engineers, & innovators.

Tim is the founder of Alt Propulsion and Chair of the APEC Conference, a forum focused on emerging propulsion physics and breakthrough aerospace concepts. A core theme of his work is “bridging worlds”: connecting engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and the public around ideas that may shape the next decades of human capability.

The APEC Conference brings together innovators in emerging propulsion physics from around the world and has featured presentations by leading frontier science physicists, engineers, and innovators. The event has earned coverage from outlets including Popular Mechanics, The Debrief, and Futurism.com—cementing its reputation as one of the most unusual and widely followed events of its kind.

“Welcome to the wildest science club on the internet tackling anti-gravity and breakthrough propulsion. Welcome to APEC.” - The Debrief

Who We Are
Our Conference Team
How It Started & Why It Matters

The APEC conference started during the Pandemic, when Mark Sokol, Jeremiah Popp, Tim Ventura & Jeremy Rys started doing Zoom calls to discuss emerging concepts in propulsion physics. That was November of 2020, and it didn’t take long before word of mouth grew our meetings into a regular monthly call.

Long-time community innovator Ron Kita called APEC “The Woodstock of Antigravity”, but as the conference matured, we separated it into theory presentations and lab demos – and later into bi-monthly calls for presentations and open discussion.

Over the last few years, we’ve hosted over 60 conference sessions featuring over 100 innovators, and our core team of regular conference participants has grown as well. Our current lineup of team members helping bring each conference together is listed below.

Here’s to the builders, the makers, & the engineers – the people making dreams come true. It’s one thing to have a brilliant idea, something else entirely to put it into action. APEC is a proud partner with dozens of indy labs, garage experimenters and startups researching warp-drives, gravity-modification, and UAP physics.

Lab updates have been a part of APEC™ Webinars since the beginning, and every conference session features updates from a select group of active lab partners and garage experimenters. We’re also happy to share periodic news & updates from other groups constructing devices & doing experiments when they have results to share.
