To add to windrider's post, I [Vlad] submitt below an interesting CERA report called, "The US Green Fiscal Stimulus: A Down Payment on a Clean Energy Agenda." The $ amounts are staggering and I wish somebody would somehow make President Obama (or some smart assistant of his) aware of the Xtreme Science Foundation proposal that would so efficiently help him resolve the energy problem (and not only) almost for free (considering the costs below). As long as greed and apathy will distort our judgment, people will not see "the light".

US STIMULUS: PRESIDENT OBAMA ADVANCES CLEAN ENERGY VISION
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) creates
$787 billion in economic stimulus spending and tax incentives. Out of
this total, the bill provides over $60 billion in direct incentives for
the energy industry. Not all of the energy incentives will directly

administration may be opening the door to the
public acceptance of previously-classified or "closet" clean-energy
technologies, such as Zero-Point Energy and table-top (formerly "cold") fusion.
