PHYSICISTS HOPE TO TIE LIGHT BEAMS IN KNOTS
Posted on Sunday, September 14, 2008 @ 21:02:52 UTC by vlad

Science Usually, light beams shine in a straight line, with the possible exception of light being bent by gravity. But scientists are now investigating how to make light beams into looped and knotted configurations. The possibility for these structured light beams arises from some curious solutions to Maxwell’s equations, which describe the fundamentals of electricity and magnetism.

It then begs other questions, doesn't it? (Insert innocent whistling icon here).

Now why, why, why..would I have posted some inane sounding comments on that 'crystal cum metal ring on fan' type, er, completely and obviously incomplete device in that posting? Well, you get your comments in on the realities of 3-D..wherever and whenever you can. Thoswho needed to understand the comment...'got it' right away. Even though it had everything..and nothing..to do with the device.

Now we see this little bit on the nature of 'light'..or shall we say "a given energetic form of interactive vibrational 2-d sheeting interactions which has certain predominance in in this vectoral consideration which we like to call '3-d reality."

Ie...The egress of this given resonant and baseline frequential interaction ---we call in 'light'.

We manipulate it according to the basic rules that Maxwell provided in his original treatsie on fluidic and aysmmetrical considerations of the relaity of such 'fields'..and this is the result.

The original math DID provide. But Heaviside and then Lorentz ---gutted it.

Gravity can be described via the field interactives of fluids/mechanics, re the application of Maxwell's full works tossed at MHD.
