Future of science: 'We will have the power of the gods'
Posted on Thursday, November 01, 2007 @ 22:15:52 UTC by vlad

Science A leading theoretical physicist has tapped the best scientific brains of the age to provide a startling vision of the future. Roger Highfield reports

...Prof Sir Chris Llewellyn Smith Director, UK Fusion Programme

"Between 15 and 20 years from now, we will be ready to start building a fusion power station that will produce electricity [from nuclear fusion, rather than fission, the reaction that drives existing nuclear power stations]. After that, before the middle of the century, we hope to have large-scale fusion power."...

    Electricity from Plant life

Dr Andreas Mershin, Centre for Biomedical Engineering, MIT

"Plants have developed this amazing ability to capture sunlight and create chemical energy and store it. Now we can grab the machine – the protein inside the plant called photosystem, which is responsible for generating energy for the plant – and hijack its function to create solar electrical power. Our goal is to provide an alternative to regular silicon-based solar panels. What we're trying to do is produce a material that you can paint on a metallic surface, expose to light and have some electricity."

    ...

"We will have the power to animate the inanimate, the power to create life itself," says Prof Kaku. "We will have the power of gods. But will we also have the wisdom of Solomon?"...

Bill Alek writes: "... "We will have the power to animate the inanimate, the power to create life itself," says Prof Kaku. "We will have the power of gods. But will we also have the wisdom of Solomon?" ..."

That is the proverbial $64,000 question?

"The next generation of nuclear power" ... "Between 15 and 20 years from now, we will be ready to start building a fusion power station ..."

In other words, these guys don't have a clue how to do it other than exploding a nuclear weapon. How would you like to be on the public dole and clueless at the same time? What power? Usually, these sorts of time frames indicates the preservation of a "nice" retirement package, the proverbial golden parachute - and NO results, other than failure.

"Artificial intelligence" ... "We have a choice in how we create artificial intelligence. And you've got to be very sure that a created mind is never going to want to self-improve and that it's never going to want to do anything that destroys intelligent life. You've got to treat that gun as if it's loaded."

Immediately we see mind control here and how the mind, whether artificial or not, is interpreted as a weapon.

I see this "need", this "want" to control thought, the thought control police. Imagine an army of mind controlled storm troopers imposing control over a population. These storm troopers controlled by the power elite, controlled by the Empire, controlled by the New World Order.

Fusion is a total dead-end and Prof Kaku is an Illuminati skank.   Regardless of those two stinkers, it is true that we will harness 'the power of the gods' - but it isn't any of the things that were just mentioned.  No, the technologies that will enable to the human race to go far beyond their means will be nanotechnology and Zero Point Energy, thus bringing in the Age of Spiritual Machines.

Nuclear fusion research is a dead end project. They have been trying for over 50 years and have got nowhere.  Ooops no sorry they have managed to keep a stable reaction for a fraction of a second......DUH try 24 hours!!!!

This is a job for the boys i.e. friends of politicians.  I would not be suprised if it was used as a cover for some nuclear weapons research.
