If you have expressed your interest in licensing opportunities by submitting the Initial Interest Form located on the WEM website and you have been qualified, you will be notified by email and you will be assigned a username and password in order to submit a preliminary proposal in the next step. Only then you will subsequently receive specific licensing fee information.
Here is a summary of the recent post on GWE & WEM website regarding the Licensing procedure:
- Qualified parties will receive licenses to manufacture, distribute, sell, and service Edison Devices within the borders of a specific sovereign nation…
- Once a license is granted, it remains in affect without limitation, for as long as the licensee remains in compliance with the terms of the licensing agreement.
- Licensing will be granted to licensees within nations that: are striving to provide its citizens with Freedom Of Religion; Not Engage In Discrimination Based On Gender, Religion, Nationality, Race and Sexual Preference; Provide Basic Civil Liberties To Its Citizens and Do Not Engage In Acts Of Terrorism.
- Industries That Will Qualify For Licenses must: Engage In Fair And Ethical Business Practices; Not Engage In Employment Or Subcontractor Selection Discrimination; Must Be Willing To Meet The Stringent Quality Control Standards Required By Genesis World Energy; Engage In Positive Employee-Employer Relations; Have A History Of Positive Customer Satisfaction.
- Genesis World Energy charges a substantial one-time licensing fee at the time a license is awarded. This helps assure that a licensee will not acquire a license with the intention of keeping the technology off the market. Upon the award of a license, the licensee automatically receives 100% financing for the cost of the license at seven percent interest (APR), amortized over a thirty-year term. Fees will be based on a set of criteria (see site for details)
- You must submit a preliminary proposal that allows Genesis World Energy and World Energy Management to become acquainted with the opportunity you would like to pursue (link to form on the site, accessible after you get your username and password). Your proposal must include the following: Intended Market and General Marketing Plan, Preliminary Operational and Financial Plan and a Proposal Summary. Once you have submitted your preliminary proposal, you will be contacted regarding your application status and will be provided with instructions for completing the application process.
- Final Steps to Complete the Licensing Process
1. Potential licensees will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
2. You will be provided with a copy of the proposed licensing agreement.
3. Related to the manufacture and validation of the technology you will be provided with:
___a. Basic product specifications that include possible energy output configurations, general manufacturing, and assembly process information that may be used to establish costing information.
___b. Independent laboratory test results related to the energy outputs of operating gCells, eCells and standard configuration Edison Devices.
___c. The ability to view operating devices supplying energy to homes and businesses on a long-term basis.
___d. The ability to have your own experts review the operation of standard configuration Edison Devices.
4. Upon your acceptance of the terms of the license agreement and your execution of the financing note related to the license fee, you will be provided with operating Edison Devices, which represent the configurations of the models you wish to market. The operating Edison Devices you will be provided are intended to serve as specification guide standards, and shall form the basis of the production specifications of the devices you intend to produce.
- Special Notes
1. Licensee Satisfaction:
In the event that you have entered into a License Agreement and you feel the Edison Device fails to operate as advertised, you will have the ability to cancel the License Agreement without financial obligation.
2. Usage Laws and Consumer Certifications:
Because all licensees have the right to custom configure Edison devices to meet the needs of their target market, it will be the responsibility of each licensee to obtain any and all related product approvals required by local law or codes, where required. Licensees shall also assume the responsibility for obtaining Underwriter's Laboratories or other consumer related certifications.
3. Restricted Use:
Each Edison Device is designed to operate only within the borders of the sovereign nation in which it was originally assembled and sold. Moving the Edison Device beyond its intended area of licensed operation will render it immediately and permanently useless.
4. Licensee Provided Production Samples:
Manufacturing licensees will be required to provide Genesis World Energy one production sample of each model per month for quality assurance evaluation
