I would not consider spamming the news submission as DOS because it is very easy to fix and delete the posts. As most sites on the internet, this website is not immune to true DOS and DDOS attacks, when the server is flooded with http requests. These kinds of attacks can happen regardless of the posting policy.

ZPEnergy gives no assurance that just because you are not logged in to a profile you are completely anonymous. There is no privacy policy posted so you should assume nothing. The IP's of people submitting posts and comments are logged and not deleted. There are also webserver logs that are not scrubbed.

To any potential whistleblowers out there I suggest you send your story to a true anonymous site like http://cryptome.org

I would also like to remind you that this site was not designed and it is not operated with any special features to provide true anonymity (such as cryptome.org) since it was supposed to be an open (into everybody’s face) exchange of ideas and collection of news (from other sources) about new revolutionary energy research and developments (with focus on tapping the ZPE) by the people who ARE ready to ”go public”.

Remember, we’re a bunch of volunteers who do this in our spare time, for free. I support all the expenses to run this site from my own pocket because I value our independence and believe this is a better cause than drinking or gambling the money. We don’t have the resources and don’t see the need now to do all the extra work of providing true anonymity. What I can guarantee is that any information we have will not be given out without a court order with proper jurisdiction. If the government’s (or black-ops) intelligence agencies want to trace/track somebody down, be sure they have the means to do it ;-).

Consequently, I understand the convenience of not having to log in and remember another password…the only advantage to stay anonymous. But even this can be overcome by not logging out, since the cookie on your machine will allow ZPEnergy to recognize you next time when you visit…voila!

Again, as stated in the message box visible to all Anons (but so far it seems, mostly ignored):

“…At the same time it becomes quite difficult for all of us to distinguish them and properly identify, address and/or reference a certain person's (Anonymous) articles or comments. Creating an account does not require submission of any personal data; as the subscriber is required to chose a user name, it basically resolves the above-mentioned problem (there are other benefits like private messages, filters, statistics, etc.). If that's still too much to ask for some, at least please "sign" your contribution with your preferred alias. We thank you for your understanding.”

Given the above arguments, why (seriously) would somebody still want to remain Anonymous? Or, if you have such repulsion to registering (we have ~250 registered users so far), why not, at least signing your post with whatever name you chose (only you will know who’s behind that alias), to make it yours (if you value your opinion and have the courage to stand behind it…anonymously:-)?
