Has this site ever been visited by someone claiming to be a whistleblower?

How does anonymous posting discourage DOS attacks? The posting policy here seems like an open invitation to DOS the place to death. (Vlad, A quick DOS fix would be to force anon posters to key in a picture just like registered users.)

There are two features going under the name "anonymity". Posts can be tied to a profile at this site or not. Additionally, profiles here can be tied to email addresses and IP addresses. Even posts that are not tied to a registered profile can be traced back to an IP. Nobody yet has discussed at all how the site scrubs its server logs. (Which might be a whistleblower's concern.)

The question here is if posters should sign into their profile to post. Yes, they should, otherwise discussions are hard to follow. And important posts are difficult to filter.

About the logs being scrubbed to the satisfaction of some particular secrecy inclined person, this site doesn't even post its procedures to ensure anonymity. Nobody would count on that.
