
Lawmakers split on how much to spend on developing alternate energy

HARRISBURG — House and Senate lawmakers remain apart on how much to
spend on developing alternate energy sources during the next few years,
but they are coming together on who should have a controlling voice
over how the money is spent.
...Under the bill, PEDA would spend $600 million for energy development,
energy conservation and consumer savings programs over several years,
while the CFA would control spending of $250 million in venture capital
financing. The state would sell bonds to finance the spending...
