Anything that eliminates our dependence on carbon or nuclear fuels is urgently needed. However, few truly wise alternatives are available for transportation. It is here that better possibilities are urgently required. Nobody reading this is likely to need any explanation as to why. My own full-time work in alternative energy began with the founding of the AESOP Institute, a non-profit oganization, in 1973. A commercial affiliate was called SunWind Ltd. Our Windmobile, a wind-electric hybrid vehicle, was the cover story for Popular Science in November 1976. It could cruise the freeway in excess of the then 55 mph legal limit, under wind power alone, whenever the windspeed across the road was 13 mph or more. But, we quickly found that most people did not want to drive down the highway in a three-wheeled car that looked more like a jet airplane, with an arch shaped wing between the two rear wheels. Anyone interested in what it looked like can google the word Windmobile. That will bring up the website honoring their father’s work by the inventors sons. SunWind ceased operations in 1983. The following year we read that Zero Point Energy might become a practical source of electric power. That same year an inventor approached us stating he could create a magnetic system that would generate electricity. Several more such inventions surfaced, and in 1987 we incorporated Magnetic Power Inc. (MPI), as a second AESOP Institute commercial affiliate. All work in energy continued in MPI, ending the need for the Institute. Thus, our work involving magnetic energy conversion systems has been underway for more than 20 years. It is now obvious to me that we, as well as other groups in several countries, are on the way to practical technology that can end the dependence on fossil and uranium fuels. How quickly this can happen will be determined primarily by private support. So far as I know, we are the only firm that appears to have found a way to modify existing utility equipment, of a type that does not generate electricity, so that it can do so. This opens the way to production before the end of 2006. Since the dot.com crash, many hi-tech companies have had an extremely difficult time finding sufficient capital to stay in business, let alone move forward. Several profitable firms have collapsed, more are laying off employees. Research and development on the cutting edge has never had an easy time attracting funds, for understandable reasons. Everything we are doing is still high risk, and only folks with a net worth of $1 million or more can legally participate. We have raised more than $7.5 million from Angel investors. We are seeking a few more Accredited investors that can assist until pending major funding closes. Any qualified individual who might be interested is invited to perform Due Diligence.
