I believe this is all tied together and you can't delve very deeply into one without running into the others. Allow me to expand the thought... We may think of ourselves all alone on this little blue pearl, but I'm thinking worlds were created to be inhabited, and space is shared by everyone, just like all countries share the ocean on this world. Perhaps a "true" spirituality is what causes all space-faring folks to be "companionable" and ZPE is part of the grand design that allows us to take that huge next step, eventually to be "out there" with our wayfaring brethren, even though few of us can hardly imagine it at this point in our evolution. But it seems somewhere we missed a step in that evolution. When we took the "fossil fuels" route, we took a wrong turn or detour, leading only to a dead end. Now, we have to turn around and find another way but mainstream science and industry are insisting we need only to keep marching forward, and we probably will until our collective nose is bloodied by the big wall we're about to hit! For myself, it's all a matter of perspective...most folks can only see their state or country as the largest collections of "us" and "them" - I believe we need to expand our horizons to embrace the whole world as one people, then keep expanding to embrace systems, universes, and finally an entire star filled creation. The truth is there is no "them"...only "us" To my way of thinking, that's the road we're on and eventually where we're headed. I guess you could say I'm comfortable with extra-terrestrial life as I'm already looking forward to being "out there" (too much Stargate SG-1??) and these new discoveries we are now making concerning Zero Point energy will help to fulfill this fantastic vision of our collective future.
