The total lack of any type of funding arises from the fact that there few truely workable concepts for ZPE energy production. Having studied this field since the publication of Moray King's work about 12 years ago, I have concluded that with few exceptions, most of it is "junk science" with only a few objective researchers that are getting some funding. Sorting through the "junk" is a time consuming and thankless job. Generally when the authors of the purported "breakthrough" want to overturn the established laws of physics with new theories I do find them interesting but not convincing. This research is a puzzle, not a demolition project. There are areas of hope that will be investigated by serious investigators, the most promising is the area of nanoscale technology applications being studied by Mcclay at U of W. There may still be other areas of uninvestigated chemical processes that may produce excess energy from the vacuum. The entire areas of catalysis and non equilibrium still has little objective knowledge of what really is going on is these processes. But whatever is found, I will assure you, it will fit in with the rest of our knowledge about the physical universe. Some paradigms may be broken, but the system as whole should remain intact.
