Re: The Defacto Einstein Timeline (Score: 1)

Lets analyze the following:

1878 James Maxwell in Scotland publishes Special Theory of Relativity in Encyclopedia Britannica, which Einstein then publishes as his own in 1905, without ever even citing Maxwell [it seems incomprehensible that Einstein could have copied an article from an encyclopedia, submitted it as his own work, and never get questioned by the hundreds of professors and publishers who must have reviewed it.

The Michelson–Morley experiment was performed in 1887 by Albert Michelson [en.wikipedia.org] and Edward Morley [en.wikipedia.org] at what is now Case Western Reserve University [en.wikipedia.org] in Cleveland, Ohio [en.wikipedia.org].
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelson%E2%80%93Morley_experiment

To claim that Maxwell had proposed a Theory of Relativity in 1878 makes no sense, because Michelson and Morley made their experiment 9 years later.

Einstein proposed the Theory of Relativity because the Michelson-Morley experiment did not succeed to detect the influence of the Earth's motion about the Sun in the speed of light.
The Michelson-Morley experiment created a puzzle, defying the concept of the aether in which Maxwell and other physicists believed, because by considering the luminiferous aether of the 19th Century the motion of the Earth would have to change the speed of the light.

Therefore, Maxwell could not be able to develop a Theory of Relativity 9 years earlier the Michelson-Morley experiment, because in 1878 the puzzle was not discovered yet.

So, it seems that all the links exhibit falses accusations against Einstein
