The 3rd drawing is my own idea. It used two different coils, one made of iron wire and one made of copper wire. Inside the rotor there is just a magnet. I call this the "T" design, as both coils are located 90 degrees to each other. The magnet inside the rotor disc gets attracted to the iron coil as the iron atoms attract the magnetic field from the permanent magnet. Then the rotor begins to turn and induces a voltage inside both coils. Now at about 6 o´clock the switch is closed. Now the polarity of both coils must be this way, that the copper coil just deflects the magnetic field of the iron coil and additionally gives the magnet a push, so it can rotate on until a new cycle will come. This 3rd design is much easier to build, cause you don´t need brushes and commutators, but just a simple reed-relay switch, which can be triggered by the approaching magnet ! Do not be fooled by the apparent simplicity of this motor, there are devils in the details. Many, many fine points have to be correct in order for the machine to run. Each individual part of the machine obeys the laws of physics that we know and understand. The problem is that the motor does something "impossible" when all of these individual actions harmonize together. I understand this motor quite well, but do not understand why it continues to turn.
