No Comments Allowed for Anonymous, please register Re: Burning water experiment (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 @ 18:21:59 UTC For what it's worth, I intend to make a unit that will produce enough gas to run a small hibachi-style barbecue unit which currently runs on propane. If the circuit works... which is a big if... then I will start buying parts to make a small reactor. Then, if that thing works (another big if), I'll build another circuit and another reactor. The second reactor would have additional circuitry to provide a control feedback loop to regulate gas pressure/production... this, however, is way far into the future. At least, from my point of view right here right now. I'm keeping my investment to a minimum... except for the oscilloscope, I always wanted to have one of those. :-) But hey, if I get one working, I'll start showing the thing to my neighbors and have them tell a few people. Maybe show a few of them how to make one... eventually, somebody will have the brains and initiative to adapt it to work for water heaters, ovens, clothe dryers, furnaces, PEM fuel cells, and yes, the holy grail... CARS!!!! The only thing I'm using from the free plans right now is the circuitry stuff. And those are the only useful schematics I've found so far. The rest of the sites I've seen only had high-level block diagrams and crap. Not good for layman like me. I need to know exactly how to build the damn thing or where I can buy it pre-built. That simple. So I'm keeping track of all the parts, where I got them, how much they cost, etc. And if I do put a working unit up for sale, look for RTHP on e-bay.... Real-Time Hydrogen Production. And no, I'm not in it for the money. Being energy-self-sufficient is payment enough. I'd rather teach and distribute on a small scale to spread the knowledge. Others with more drive, energy, and resources can lead (and profit from) the large scale production battles.
