Video shows 4.25 W rectified DC going into the spinning device, which meanwhile is producing 15.4 W AC, for an efficiency of 362%.

The video does not show a view of the entire set-up, but only shows close-ups of the meters and the device running. There is no walk-around to enable the viewer to see above, below, behind the device. Nor is the possibility of remote power transmittance addressed.

In short, the inventors expect the viewers to take their word that the set-up is as they present, with no tricks. This, in a field that is sprinkled with less-than-honest persons separating gullible people from their hard-earned money...

The W AC is the giveaway. Give me 4.25 watts of power and I can give you as many watts of reactive AC power than you can dream of.

Remember:

Power= energy/time
Real Power= Amps x Volts x cosine(powerfactor Angle)

That's exactly right. A person can run AC through a capacitor or an inductor and get amperage 90 degrees out of phase. Work in: virtually nothing. Volts * amps out: whatever they want - but don't mistake that for work. Motors definitely have a reactive component. I don't doubt they came up with those numbers in their experiment. It's multiplying the AC volts and AC amps together and coming up with watts without regard to the phase shift that's incorrect on their part.

Initially, I wasn't sure if John and Lou at Lutec were trying to gain notariety/money by their tactics or if they just have a very poor grasp of physics. Since Lou is an electrician, he must know. A person can't go through any learning experience toward becoming an electrician without learning about power factor and reactive loads. My guess is that they're not just unwitting hopefuls. I'm tending to believe they're intentially trying to fool people. After this many years of working on this, they would have to be idiots to not learn something about electrical power. They built a working motor for goodness sake. Nobody can tell me they're too stupid to properly measure work output. In my opinion, they're purposefully trying to mislead people.

I just watched the video and have some comments. It looks like volts and amps are just measuring across the lamps, a purely resistive load. That would make AC volts * AC amps = watts for the output. Although it would be very nice if they had readable meters where the deflection was between 1/4 and 7/8 of the scale. Is that first 'volts' mark on the output a '20'?

It's hard to tell if the setup is correct from the video (what's that third wire going to the machine - a ground? It looks like the output from the rectifier has the same connections as the input? Am I seeing things or are the connections just close?).

Either way, they appear to know what a rectifier does and the machine 'appears' to work well off the output of that rectifier. At this point they could buy another rectifier and feed that AC output back to the input to have the machine self sustaining if it does indeed work.

I downloaded and watched the large video file. As Sterling notes, there's just not enough information provided to demonstrate anything. If they actually have something, why the sleight of hand?
