E-Cat spurs interest in LENR research in Sweden
Posted on Friday, October 10, 2014 @ 01:08:35 UTC by vlad

Anonymous writes: Comments from Elforsk CEO Sweden in response to latest results from testing the E-Cat (from E-Cat World): Elforsk CEO: Swedish Energy Institute to Build LENR Research Initiative

Elforsk is a cooperative research and development institute that is made up of utilities and other energy companies in operating in Sweden. Today  on Elforsk’s web site and in the Swedish science and technology magazine Nyteknik, Elforsk’s CEO Magnus Oloffsson has written an article responding to the  E-Cat testing report published yesterday by the independent European research team,

Here are some of the key points Oloffson makes:

"   Clear isotope changes in the analyzed fuel indicates instead that in the case of nuclear reactions at low temperatures. It suggests that we may be facing a new way to extract nuclear energy.Probably without ionizing radiation and radioactive waste. The discovery could eventually become very important for the world’s energy supply . . .

If it is possible to safely achieve and control the now indicated nuclear reactions waiting probably eventually a fundamental transformation of our energy system. It can open for decentralized energy supply. Electricity and heat can then be produced with relatively simple components. Climate Efficient energy would be very cheap. . .

Elforsk takes now the initiative to build a comprehensive Swedish research initiative. More knowledge is needed to understand and explain. Let us engage more researchers in searching coat phenomenon and then explain how it works."

This is a rapid response from a serious and influential energy organization to yesterday’s report. Elforsk is now taking LENR very seriously, and it looks like Sweden could be the first country to really get behind an effort to understand and develop this new form of energy. We don’t know what the future plans of Industrial Heat are to make available the E-Cat for further research and development, but in yesterday’s report, the testing team mentioned that they want to continue their work to understand exactly what is going on inside the E-Cat.

This is a very interesting development from Elforsk. They obviously are taking the report very seriously and are set to put significant resources behind this new LENR research initiative. It will be interesting to see if this sets a precedent that other organizations will follow.

Elforsk CEO Makes Oil Futures Plunge!
At exactly 10:40 swedish time Elforsk CEO Magnus Olofsson published an article in Ny Teknik. Within minutes oil futures took another plunge.

The Big Banks are Certainly Paying Attention to the E-Cat
[www.sifferkoll.se]
While looking in the logs after publishing the E-Cat report I found out that within minutes it was downloaded by an IP number owned by Blackrock/Barcleys. Within minutes after that oil futures started to fall and have stayed volatile since…

arXiv.org putting the 2nd ITPR of the Rossi E-cat on hold…
[www.sifferkoll.se]

Apparently arXiv.org have put the second independent third party report on hold for unknown reasons (insert favourite pet theory here).  It shows an undeniable COP of 3,2-3.6 over a 32 day period and substantial isostope changes in nickel and lithium. Anyway here it is for those interested.

Tom Darden of Industrial Heat Comments on E-Cat, Test — Has Had ‘Several High Level Conversations’

An article [www.bizjournals.com] has been posted on the Triangle Business Journal in which Lauren Ohnsesorge talks with Tom Darden, Chairman of Industrial Heat LLC, and CEO of Cherokee Industrial Partners (both of Raleigh, North Carolina) about E-Cat technology and the recent test report that was just published.

Darden states that his main concern with this technology is to reduce air pollution. Darden states that he is not in it for the money:

LENR ~ The Promise of Clean and Affordable Energy Lecture Oct. 20 (Score: 1)

Electrical engineer Thomas A. Wind, PE, of Wind Utility Consulting, PC, Jamaica, Iowa, is presenting a program on the new findings on Low Energy Nuclear Reactions [LENR] or cold fusion. The program will take place on Monday, Oct 20 at 7 p.m. in the Sandra and Alan Gerry Forum, Room 010 of the state-of-the-art Rowley Center for Science & Engineering at SUNY Orange.

Unlike the claims and experiments of the 1980s, this new research, he asserts, is developing effective and workable means of producing energy. During his presentation, "LENR ~ The Promise of Clean and Affordable Energy," Wind will define Low Energy Nuclear Reactions, explain how it works, and give its practical applications and uses. By comparing LENR to other nuclear energy sources, he will attempt to demonstrate how it leaves no radioactive waste products behind, thereby being clean and safe. In addition, he will outline how this technology will be utilized, both commercially and privately, and give an overview on the affect Low Energy Nuclear Reactions may have on existing energy companies.

Looking into the future and applying this information to daily life, Wind contends that “this technology will provide a new energy source for growing economies and improving the standard of living around the world without increasing fossil fuel usage or greenhouse gas emissions.”

Honderosa Valley Consulting of Cuddebackville, N.Y., is the sponsor of this program which is being presented by Cultural Affairs. Questions may be directed to (845) 341-4891 and cultural@sunyorange.edu. You may also visit the Cultural Affairs website at  www.sunyorange.edu/culturalaffairs [www.sunyorange.edu].

Registration is not required. Engineers and architects will receive a certificate for one PDH-CEU for each lecture attendance.

Rossi's secret metallic powder is nickel with some lithium with ....???  Rossi very much reminds me of Baldini, a chararcter in the novel 'The perfume'. Rossi made a good LENR 'perfume' by combining the right quantities of the right ingredients, all by trial and error. But we stil need Grenouille to make the perfect LENR perfume.

What further experiments are planned by Elforsk?
Can Rossi's secret formulae be improved further anyway? What is the cheapest commercial LENR formulae?

So many questions to be answered about LENR, but one thing is sure ... it is commercially viable.

A summation of the LENR status quo:
is there an overview of all the LENR fuel formulaes ever tried, including the COP factor?
