Dr. Jack Sarfatti writes: What do they have in common?
"the force between two quarks approaches a constant strength as we pull the quarks apart ...", p. 104 "The Trouble With Physics" Lee Smolin
In the simple weak curvature slow speed Galilean limit of Einstein's 1916 General Relativity (GR) with additional torsion, the quantum exotic vacuum zero point energy (ZPE) induced Sakharov (1967) gravity potential energy per unit test particle mass is (in a static spherically symmetric toy model).
Vzpf(r) = -(1/2)c^2Λzpf(r)r^2
In Einstein's GR
g00 = (1 + 2Vzpf/c^2) = - 1/grr
for static LNIF observers outside the event horizon g00 = 0.
ZPF induced Newtonian "gravity force per unit test mass is
f = - dVzpf/dr
In the case of the two NASA Pioneer space probes at the outer edge of the solar system now beyond Saturn in different directions on the celestial sphere the anomalous gravity pull fits the adhoc assumption
|Λzpf| = H/cr
H = Hubble's cosmological constant
Vzpf ~ cHr
f = cH ~ 1 nanometer/sec^2 agrees with observed data
this universal anomalous "gravity" force can point either radially inward or radially outward depending on the sign of the exotic vacuum zero point energy density (w = -1).
Dark matter has Λzpf < 0, i.e. negative zero point exotic vacuum energy with positive pressure and this gives the force pointing inwards to the center of the Sun if we imagine a possibly expanding hollow concentric spherical shell "pulse" starting presently around the orbit of Saturn - blown off in a "vacuum quake" from the center of the Sun. K Tangen says the anomaly is non-geodesic, this model says it's geodesic - however since there must be a torsion field to allow Λzpf to be variable, there may not be a conflict using the "auto-parallel" generalized "geodesic".
Carlos Castro has a new duality argument from localizing the full conformal group to explain why Hubble's parameter shows up at this small scale, i.e. in my paradigm this is tantamount to curvature + torsion + conformal boost and dilation compensating geometrodynamic gauge potentials.
Obviously this same picture can work for hadronic strings i.e. quarks at the end of a rubber band string that is a vortex filament whose "core" is dark matter but of larger density than in the Pioneer case.
i.e. Λzpf ~ 1/Lp*r
Lp*^2 ~ hG*/c^3
G* ~ 10^40G(Newton)
as in Abdus Salam's strong short-range f-gravity and my paper of 1973 "Collective Phenomena" ed. H. Frohlich & FW Cummings when I was at Salam's ICTP in Trieste, Italy.
This gives universal slope of hadronic resonance Regge trajectories
Spin ~ (1Gev)^-2E^2 + intercept
also interpreted as small Kerr black holes in strong short range zero point energy induced Sakharov gravity.

More Jack Sarfatti and his Einstein crap. (Score: 1) by Kadamose on Sunday, October 21, 2007 @ 20:49:43 UTC (User Info | Send a Message) | Einstein was a fraud, and everything he plagiarized has been proven wrong! Light is not constant, and space/time is not curved.
Here is what Nikola Telsa (the world's greatest genius/scientist/engineer/humanitarian) said about Einstein's General Relativity rubbish:
General Relativity is a magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes
people blind to the underlying errors. The theory is like a beggar
clothed in purple whom ignorant people take for a king..., its
exponents are brilliant men but they are metaphysicists rather than
scientists...
I hold that space cannot be curved, for the simple reason that it can
have no properties. It might as well be said that God has properties.
He has not, but only attributes and these are of our own making. Of
properties we can only speak when dealing with matter filling the
space. To say that in the presence of large bodies space becomes curved
is equivalent to stating that something can act upon nothing. I, for
one, refuse to subscribe to such a view.
...the relativity theory, by the way, is much older than its present
proponents. It was advanced over 200 years ago by my illustrious
countryman Ruđer Bošković, the great philosopher, who, not withstanding
other and multifold obligations, wrote a thousand volumes of excellent
literature on a vast variety of subjects. Bošković dealt with
relativity, including the so-called time-space continuum...'.
Sorry, Jack - but Nikola Tesla has a shitload more credibility than you, or anyone else in your field, ever will.

Can this experiment identify dark matter? (Score: 1) by vlad on Monday, October 22, 2007 @ 21:45:07 UTC (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.zpenergy.com | By Miranda Marquit
"The key question we want to tackle," Gianfranco Bertone tells PhysOrg.com, "is what dark matter is." Bertone is a scientist at the
Institute of Astrophysics in Paris, working toward a better
understanding of dark matter, which makes up most of the matter in the universe. He and his colleagues, David Cerdeño at the Theoretical Physics Institute in Madrid and Juan Collar and Brian Odom at the University of Chicago,
have studied how to combine data from different experiments in order to
obtain more stringent constraints on dark matter particles, and
hopefully to identify them.
Their work is published in a Physical Review Letters
article titled “Identification of Weakly Interacting Massive Particles
Through a Combined Measurement of Axial and Scalar Couplings.”

Earth's rotation may account for wayward spacecraft (Score: 1) by vlad on Wednesday, March 05, 2008 @ 22:47:17 UTC (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.zpenergy.com | 22:44 04 March 2008 NewScientist.com news service David Shiga
A mysterious phenomenon causing small, unexpected deviations in robotic spacecraft trajectories near Earth may be a step closer to an explanation. Scientists have come up with a mathematical formula that successfully reproduces all the known occurrences of the effect, and they suspect the Earth's rotation may somehow be to blame.
Scientists first noticed something amiss in the motion of spacecraft passing near Earth when the Galileo spacecraft flew by our planet in 1990 to get a boost from the planet's gravity. The flyby boosted Galileo's speed by several kilometres per second, as expected, but radio tracking of the spacecraft found the boost was very slightly larger than expected, by about 4 millimetres per second.
Although the amount of this extra boost is small, it is more than 10 times larger than can be accounted for by errors in tracking by Earth-based radio dishes and other known influences, such as gas escaping from the spacecraft.
NASA engineers reported the effect at a conference in 1998, by which time the anomaly had cropped up in an additional Galileo flyby of Earth in 1992, as well as in a 1998 Earth flyby of NASA's Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) mission.
The flyby anomaly received more attention in 2006, when former NASA scientist John Anderson, now retired, and his colleagues, posted a research paper online describing the anomaly and raising the possibility of a link with a similar puzzle called the Pioneer anomaly. The Pioneer anomaly refers to the observation that NASA's Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft are both slowing down more than expected as they fly away from the Sun in opposite directions.
Now, Anderson and colleagues James Campbell, John Ekelund, Jordan Ellis and Frank Jordan at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, US, have stumbled onto a formula that accurately reproduces all five instances where a flyby anomaly has been observed so far.
The formula involves the angle that the spacecraft's incoming and outgoing trajectories make with respect to Earth's equator. It accurately predicts the change in speed observed in the flybys so far.
Incoming angle...
