    The EmDrive makes headway.
Posted on Thursday, September 07, 2006 @ 20:38:03 UTC by vlad

Devices Sigma writes: The U.K company SPR(Satellite Propulsion Research) is making headway with its propellantless EmDrive technology. According to SPR their technology requires no new physics, just a new use of current understanding, e.g. using microwaves with a resonant cavity or bottle and a special waveguide. So far they have been able to decrease their object's apparent "mass" by 2g, but they believe that in further iterations they may be able to lift entire craft, making many dreams of flying cars and easy transport to space a reality.

This is very exciting news! While not being "anti-gravity" in it's purest sense, it accomplishes many of the same same goals. Perhaps this is what many in the AG field have already found... didn't Tap-Ten have a device using resonanting microwave waveguides?
