Russian Longitudinal EM Wave Research
Posted on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 @ 21:27:30 UTC by vlad

Science nanotech writes: I found something interesting here, regarding Russian research into longitudinal electromagnetic waves, as opposed to the standard theories on transverse waves

As the practical substantiation of longitudinal EM waves existence, the author has created and tested the device for radiation and reception of longitudinal EM wave. The very first experiments have already shown the essential difference of these waves from transversal waves. However, let us adjourn the analysis of the experimental data for the next papers, as this expects to create at least the initial new model, which exceeds the limits of present paper. (This paragraph was written in 1990)."

This is very interesting research.
Thus far I am the only one who described correctly the energy flow ("Poynting vector") of the longitudinal electric wave.
One needs an extra scalar field S in order to do so.

The Russian scientist could not figure out the correct background theory, that's for sure, considering the question mark near field 'H' on page
http://www.angelfire.com/la3/selftrans/archive/long/long42_43_44/long42_43_44.html

The Poynting vector ExH does not represent the correct energy flow of the longitudinal wave,
because vector ExH does not point in the direction of wave propagation,
so one needs a scalar field S, such that the Poynting flow can be expressed as ES,
see also my theory at www.truth.myweb.nl .
The vector ES will always point in the direction of wave propagation.

Other researchers who detected a wireless longitudinal electric wave:
Tesla, Ignatiev, Wesley&Monstein. Who is next?
