Doug Derbes writes: Phone Conversation with Alberto Molina-Martinez
On Thursday October 30, 2002 I had a pleasant conversation with the inventor of the Continuous Electrical Generator. He appears to be a very soft spoken man who is also very private. I mentioned this forum by name as well as others that I am involved with. Specifically, I mentioned the comments made in this forum by all the participants. He made no specific comments relative to the correctness or incorrectness of the assessments featured on this forum by the various participants.
He asked me about by background in materials engineering and I asked if it would be OK to pose a few questions. I asked if there was a working prototype as alluded to in the patent application. He answered that there was indeed a functional prototype that would be publicly demonstrated in the near future. He was continuing to improve the device in his electrical laboratory.
I made a recommendation to him to submit the device to Dr. Greer's SEAS group for funding if he could agree to their terms. He seemed receptive to this proposal. He mentioned another group that he is in contact with regarding development, but I had trouble understanding the name mentioned due to the heavy Spanish accent.
We discussed the patent process and he seemed interested in my experiences with the patent office relative to my own patent. I told him his patent attorneys were very bold in the application regarding the language used and the claims made. I pointed out the fact that it could be rejected because of the perpetual motion machine mentality or possibly granted and slapped with a secrecy order. He agreed that these were possibilities, but felt he would recieve a patent eventually.
I told him back in 1992, while working for the DOE, I had the idea to use the stator coils from AC induction motors placed concentrically, one within the other, to see if one could act as the primary exciter coil for the secondary output coil without a common core. He asked me if it worked and I told him that I never followed through with the idea due to a heavy contractual workload to the DOE. I honestly stated to him that I doubted that it would have worked because of the lack of the common core.
He asked me if I was involved with a current overunity project which I answered in the affirmative.
We had a good conversation which ended with exchanging e-mail addresses and an invitation for continued dialogue.
Alberto appears to be a very private individual. He utilizes a screening service for his home phone and has a firewall like questionaire menu upfront.
