HOW TO AVOID SEVERE CLIMATE CHANGE DISCUSSED AT CO2 CONFERENCE
Posted on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 @ 23:26:15 UTC by vlad

General The kind of devastation seen on the Gulf Coast from Hurricane Katrina may be a small taste of what is to come if emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) are not diminished soon, warns Dr. Ken Caldeira of the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology in his opening remarks at the 7th International Carbon Dioxide Conference in Boulder, Colorado, September 26, 2005.

EARTH'S WOBBLE BURPS, September 21

Open University researchers have uncovered startling new evidence about an extreme period of a sudden, fatal dose of global warming some 180 million years ago during the time of the dinosaurs. The scientists' findings could provide vital clues about climate change happening today and in the future.

With apologies to the innocent that may loose their lives, livihoods and possessions, it may in fact be fitting that at this moment a giant storm with the power of a nuclear arsenal is heading towards the command post of greenhouse gas emissions on this planet. The impregnable fortress of the American Oil Industry and center for climate change denial: Houston, Texas.

Is this the Wrath of the Almightly delivering a backhand to the hydrocarbon pirates? Is this the wakeup call?

As we speak, various news sources are in the process of denying the link between greenhouse gases, global warming and chaotic weather.

In an orgy of plausible denial and butt covering, an entire raft of papers and statements is being issued to the public through the Corporate Media noise machine that there is no connection between CO2 emissions.

Just today a politically appointed head of a major hurricane study agency said that recent increased hurricane activity was the result of "a natural weather cycle".

The very fact that these statements are being released to the public is an indication that in corporate leadership circles, the fear of liability for these events is of great concern.

Some may call it pre-emption, but the more common analogy to " head in the sand " is more fitting.
