"Capt Bruce Cathie died last night. Not many people realise the impact that man had upon my life. I was 17 years old in the late 70s, still in high school, when a copy of "Harmonic 288" landed in my lap - and it 'spoke' to me. I understood it, and the implications. That single solitary book set me on a journey which resulted in me sitting here writing this. I would never have become an activist, a conference organiser, or a publisher or opinionated bigmouth - had it not been for the work of this man. In the early 80s I saved my pennies to travel to NZ to meet him. He was the equivalent of a rock star icon to the young me then - I literally worshipped the man. He let me into his life and I saw how humble and full of integrity he was. Since then, I have spent decades trying to encourage other researchers to fully comprehend the work and implications of this amazing man, but so few resonated to it. The first conference I ever organised had only Bruce Cathie (and Stan Deyo) as the speakers, and that event gave me the wings to do more. Bruce Cathie - you were the biggest inspiration in my life, and I am going to be grateful for our friendship for ever. Thank you."
