Gun-engine is developed according to found design corrections. Its cylinder is split into two chambers: one is primary energy chamber and another is energy recovery chamber. When one chamber contracts the other expands. In this way the energy left from expansion recovers as means to re-compress already expanded exhausts, thus more than one power stroke results, which improves energy conversion and efficiency. In addition the arrangement causes that the pressure of detonation of fuel repeats when crank is horizontal which improves torque by two orders (100 times). The arrangement does limit stress in parts to that related only to torque, which improves reliability and at least quadruples time between overhauling. The arrangement allows detonating vaporized and gaseous fuels. The operation of gun-engine follows new thermodynamic cycle with up to five re-compressions of exhausts (5 power strokes from single energy release) The gun-engine accepts all fuels in vaporized or gaseous forms. Hydrogen is best.
