Discussion of Lynds paper on Time Description: "Time" is definitely an important feature not only at the foundations of both classical and modern physics but also in the daily lives of most people in our society. Modern physics is a vast and rapidly developing field of great power, elegance, sophistication, and complexity. Most physicists simply have no time to take a closer look at the foundations of the edifice they are busily erecting, but just assume that things are pretty much OK and charge on ahead with their work. Thus my first comment on the paper by Mr. Lynds is to congratulate him for having the courage and interest to choose one of the foundation concepts of a basic science -- even of our whole civilization -- and attempting to look it squarely in the face. Let's see what he sees and what he doesn't see in the mirror. Version: Filesize: 41.02 Kb Added on: 30-Aug-2003 Downloads: 5172 Rating: 7.0 (10 Votes) HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
PHOTOMETRIC PARADOX AND RELICT RADIATION - TWO SIDES OF ONE PHENOMENON? Description: The hypothesis in the context of which, photometric paradox and relict radiation are considered in a unified context, is investigated. On the basis of this hypothesis the relict background is considered as the sum of all stars radiations in the stationary and infinite Universe. Space experiments [9] which have resulted in opening anisotropy of relic radiation, have served as the basis for such assumption. The authors undertook the attempt to find reasons in favour of such an assumption. It gives the opportunity to solve the photometric paradox even in the framework of the model of the infinite, stationary universe.

Refutation of Thermodynamic Laws (RoTL) by Autymn D.C. Description: Eg, scientists say that perpetual motion can¹t exist because the thermodynamic laws forbid it. "Why do they forbid it?" "Because they're laws." "Why are they laws?" "They're based on thousands of years of consistent observation and are supported by common sense." No, the observations have been mostly limited to familiar and common events. Adding them together into a body of science does not make them laws, but theories, to avoid committing the composition fallacy. As physicists are reaching both ends of the observable spectrum and are using more and more powerful and sensitive weapons and instruments, they are finding that the laws of thermodynamics simply don't apply rather than acknowledging that thermodynamics do apply but that they are not absolute. That is why my essay is titled "Refutation of Thermodynamic Laws" and not "Refutation of Thermodynamics". I have been able to dismantle the beliefs and arguments, if not to correct many of their factual errors, of both believers and cynics because I do not operate from either motivation. I don't care about absurd god or stupid man, but only about the Truth and my understanding and accuracy of it.
